HB&O Annual Charity Golf Day raises over £2900 for The Heart of England Community Foundation.
6th September 2018
On Wednesday 5th September, over 40 people teed off at Harrison Beale and Owen’s (HB&O) annual charity golf day at the Welcombe Hotel in Stratford to raise money for the Heart of England Community Foundation (HOECF).
HOECF’s aim is to donate funds to community and voluntary groups who need it. They champion local giving, building partnerships with likeminded organisations and individuals who care about the communities on their doorstep.
Following a tough 18 holes, Martin Boehmer from Santander achieved the highest individual score and the winning overall team consisted of Andrew Clarke, Martin Boehmer, David Stokes and Peter Griffiths (pictured from left to right above). David has only just joined HB&O Financial Services as an Independent Financial Advisor so he was particularly pleased to be on the winning team during his first week!
HOECF is HB&O’s nominated charity for the third year running as the firm can truly see the impact that the money raised has on a local level and to multiple different causes.
Mark Ashfield, Managing Director at HB&O said: ‘Events like these are a great way to get the local business community involved in raising money for such a deserving cause. From sponsoring holes to donating raffle prizes, we couldn’t have raised such a fantastic amount without the support of those involved. The HOECF does excellent work in the community and we can truly see the impact that our donations have on those in need.’
