Rhys Walker - Double Gold Medals
My last tournament, which was a senior 'gold' standard held in Winchester, Hampshire, was a great tournament for me as although being a top rated senior competition I was seeded 3/4 in the mens singles.
During the competition I played well beating some top players and in my preferred event - Mens Singles I won The Singles Title. Additionally, I also won the Mens Doubles title with my regular partner, Cheng, from Surrey. In the mixed I played with Brown, Yorkshire where we lost at the semi-final stage.
Overall, a brilliant end of the year result.
Next week I fly out to Estonia quickly followed by a trip to Sweden for senior Internationals - they will be my biggest challenge to date.
