Our history

HB&O today is a modern, accountancy and financial services firm, with deep roots in the business communities of Leamington Spa, Coventry and Warwickshire.

We can trace our history back almost a century and some of the key dates are listed below.

1926 D A Owen & Company is founded in Leamington Spa by David Arthur Owen.

1947 Harrison & Co is founded in Foleshill, Coventry by Mr N Harrison.

1971 Harrison & Co is purchased by Colin Beale and becomes Harrison Beale.

1985 Harrison Beale opens its Leamington Spa office with Rob Kendall as its resident partner.

1999 Thornton Davison is taken over by D A Owen.

1986 D A Owen Financial Services demerges from D A Owen & Company.

2004 Harrison Beale and D A Owen & Company merge to form Harrison Beale & Owen Limited.

2005 D A Owen Financial Services is re-integrated into the group.
